MatteScale Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy describes the MatteScale desktop app for Windows and macOS. It covers the app, not visits to the portfolio website; see the website privacy notice.
Local Image Processing
MatteScale processes the images you choose on your device. The import, editing, preview, and export workflow does not upload those images. The app does not include advertising or analytics software, does not require an account, and does not automatically transmit diagnostic reports.
1. App data and optional support
Settings, presets, and a small local error log are stored on your device. The error log may be shown in the optional bug-report flow. If you choose to report a problem, the app prepares a message for your email application; you review and send it yourself. Amr Zriek receives the information or files you choose to include so he can respond. Your email provider and the recipient also process the message.
The app can open external pages when you choose support, licensing, or other links. Those services apply their own privacy practices. App platform capabilities may differ by build; the image-processing workflow does not use network access to upload selected images.
2. Local data and deletion
Presets, settings, and diagnostic entries stay in local app storage. You can remove them using the operating system's app-data controls or by uninstalling the app; exact controls depend on the platform and build. A support message you choose to send is retained as part of the email conversation. Transaction records are handled by the checkout provider under its own retention practices and applicable law.
3. Purchases
The app does not include in-app purchases. If you choose a download or purchase through the official Gumroad offer, Gumroad processes checkout and digital delivery. Gumroad may collect and process order, payment, and contact information as described in its Privacy Policy; information made available to the product creator depends on the transaction and Gumroad's settings. The checkout displays the applicable price and purchase terms.
4. Privacy requests
Depending on your location and circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, and to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. To make a request about information you sent directly to support, contact amrzriek@gmail.com. For data processed by Gumroad or another external provider, use that provider's privacy contact and request process. The app's local image workflow does not send your images to us.
