MatteScale Terms of Service & EULA

1. License Grant

The Software is licensed, not sold. Amr Zriek grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the edition you obtain on devices you own or control for personal or commercial creative work, subject to any edition or device limits stated with that edition. You do not acquire ownership of the Software. This license does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

• Redistribute the Software to third parties, except where applicable law permits it.
• Resell or transfer the Software or your license, except as expressly permitted by law or in writing by Amr Zriek.
• Reverse engineer or decompile the Software, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it.
• Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
• Circumvent technical protection measures, except where applicable law permits it.

3. Ownership

The original Software and its intellectual property are owned by Amr Zriek or their respective licensors. Third-party components remain subject to their own license terms and notices.

4. Consumer Rights (EU/UK)

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer-protection rights, including applicable rights concerning conformity, remedies, withdrawal, or jurisdiction. Any waiver of a statutory withdrawal right for digital content depends on the applicable law and the requirements completed in the actual transaction. These terms alone do not waive that right.

5. Refund Policy

For a paid MatteScale purchase made through the official Gumroad offer, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase by replying to your receipt or contactingamrzriek@gmail.comwith your order details. We will honor requests made within that period. This voluntary refund policy does not limit any longer or additional rights that apply under mandatory consumer law. Gumroad’s termsand privacy policyalso apply to its checkout and delivery services.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

The Software is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties that applicable law allows us to disclaim, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise error-free or uninterrupted operation. Nothing here excludes a warranty or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business arising from use of or inability to use the Software. Our total liability for claims relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for the affected edition, where that limit is permitted by law. This section does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8. Termination

This license continues until terminated. If you materially breach these terms, your license may be terminated as permitted by applicable law. Termination does not affect statutory consumer rights or terms that by their nature continue to apply.

9. Applicable Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that apply where you live. Any court or dispute-resolution provision is subject to mandatory rights to bring a claim in another forum.
