Desktop Runtime

MatteScale desktop ships on Tauri 2.0, which wraps the OS-native webview rather than bundling Chromium:

  • Windows: Microsoft Edge WebView2 (Chromium-based), provided by the OS or the WebView2 bootstrapper.
  • macOS: WKWebView (WebKit), provided by the OS.
  • Rust crates: compiled into the binary; each is permissive (MIT / Apache-2.0).
